Email: hv@upfrontfilms.dk

Henrik Veileborg was trained as a film producer at the Danish Film School from which he graduated in the summer of 1995.

Between 1995 and 2002, Henrik worked as a producer for Lise Lense-Møller's production company Magic Hour Films and was involved in the company's many and quite varied film productions - feature films, short films, documentaries as well as animated films.

In 2002, Henrik began working as Head of Development for documentary films and shorts at the Danish Film Institute. The position included responsibility for the administration of DFI's support scheme for shorts and documentaries, strategic and political initiatives, and branch-related seminars. Henrik was in charge of the development and administration of the pilot project Talentdok, a subsidy scheme to develop talent for documentary films, which was later integrated into the Film Institute's permanent talent programme New Danish Screen. In 2006, Henrik concluded his employment at the Danish Film Institute by acting as replacement development manager in a corresponding position for feature films.

In the summer of 2006, Henrik became managing director of the documentary film company Cosmo Doc, which was established by Jakob Høgel in 2003. Under Henrik's leadership, the company expanded and developed into one of Denmark's most noteworthy in the artistic documentary tradition. The company distinguished itself nationally with films for prime-time television and internationally with major collaborative projects. In 2009, Henrik acquired ownership of the firm and changed the company name to its current moniker Upfront Films.

In his activity as film producer, Henrik has collaborated with a number of Denmark's most significant documentary directors - Max Kestner (Copenhagen Dreams, 2009), Christoffer Guldbrandsen (Stealing Africa, 2012), Camilla Nielsson (Democrats, 2014), Janus Metz (Love on Delivery & Ticket to Paradise, 2007 & 2008), Andreas M. Dalsgaard (Bogotá Change, 2009) - and dedicated his particular interest to artistic film projects that expand our conceptions of the world and the way we understand it.

Henrik has been a band musician, taught, provided contributions to anthologies about such varied topics as film school and the museum business, acted as artistic consultant on a number of projects, and was employed in 2015-16 at the Danish Film School as Head of Development.
